Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Certified as a paramedic in the State of Texas.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS.
• PALS.
• PHTLS or ITLS.
• Communicates effectively.
• Read, write and interpret instructions in English.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls 24 hours per day.
• Drives a variety of emergency vehicles in all road conditions.
• Follows driving laws, policies and procedures.
• Interacts with dispatchers, EMS crews and first responders.
• Maintains vehicles and equipment in readiness.
• Completes patient care reports and documentation.
• Provides direct patient care per Medical Director's authorization and protocols.
• Works under high-stress conditions.
