Job summary

The Advanced Paramedic in the Emergency Department at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, SC is a PRN, part-time role with shifts 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You will perform triage assessments, initiate appropriate order sets, assign Emergency Severity Index scores, and ensure smooth patient flow with ED staff.

Minimum qualifications include a Paramedic license and a high school diploma or GED; 2–5 years’ experience is preferred. Parking is complimentary for employees.

The ED Advanced Paramedic will identify and initiate appropriate triage order sets following the triage assessment. The ED Advanced Paramedic will evaluate and assign an appropriate Emergency Severity Index score to patients following the triage assessment. The ED Advanced Paramedic will be responsible for communication of all pertinent patient information to their team members and emergency department providers.
