Qualifications

• Licensed paramedic in IL with IDPH credentials.
• BLS within 30 days; PALS and ACLS within 1 year.
• Valid driver’s license; driving experience required.
• NIMS ICS-100/200/700/800 and ERT/HazMat awareness within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and provide immediate care.
• Check ambulance readiness and cleanliness daily.
• Clean ambulances and crew quarters each day.
• Communicate crew and vehicle positions clearly on calls.
• Direct EMTs during ambulance calls and transport patients as needed.
• Assess glucose, monitor ECGs, and provide ACLS as needed.
• Administer medications via IV/IO/IM/SQ/IN routes.
• Intubate adults and pediatrics; manage airways during transport.
• Assist in childbirth and care for mother and baby when required.
