Job summary

Superior Ambulance Service in the Midwest seeks Paramedics with proven leadership and years of ALS experience to join the Illinois Critical Care Division.

Paramedics will collaborate with CCT personnel to provide high-quality pre-hospital and interfacility advanced life support, including assessment, triage, and treatment, in coordination with adult and pediatric level I trauma centers in the Chicagoland area.

Qualifications

• 2 years of current ALS experience.
• Possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in the transport environment under the direction of the Program Medical Director and referring/receiving physicians.
• Autonomously evaluate critically ill or injured patients from pediatric to adult, provide interventions, and prepare for transport (ground or air).
• Maintain proficiency across Critical Care Division scope, including neurological, cardiac, pediatric, obstetrical and traumatic emergencies.
• Maintain competency in critical care procedures and equipment (ventilators, IV pumps, dopplers, chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, transcutaneous pacers, external drains, advanced airway management).
