Job summary

Intel is seeking a Manufacturing Quality and Reliability Engineer in Albuquerque, NM, to ensure quality and reliability during high-volume production ramp. You will specify inspection mechanisms, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to uphold standards and customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate across teams to implement supplier audits, containment of excursions, and data-driven optimization using statistical methods and ML.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science with 1+ year experience or Master's with 0+ years' experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, semiconductor fabrication, and quality assessment methodologies
• Familiarity with excursion management, reliability fundamentals, or problem‑solving techniques
• Experience analyzing data using statistical tools and machine learning to inform decision‑making

Position Overview

As a Manufacturing Quality and Reliability Engineer in New Mexico, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Intel's products and processes during manufacturing ramps to high-volume production. On a day-to-day basis, you will specify inspection and testing mechanisms, conduct quality assessments and audits, evaluate materials and techniques used in production, and drive continuous process improvement initiatives to uphold quality standards. Your contributions will directly impact Intel's manufacturing efficiency, product performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Qualify manufacturing ramps to high-volume production while ensuring compliance with quality and reliability standards
• Specify inspection mechanisms and testing protocols to maintain product and process integrity
• Conduct quality assessments, audits, and risk evaluations to proactively address discrepancies

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a specialized field such as Engineering, Science, or a related discipline with 1+ year experience or Master's degree and 0+ years' experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, semiconductor fabrication, and quality assessment methodologies
• Familiarity with excursion management, reliability fundamentals, or problem-solving techniques
• Experience analyzing data using statistical tools and machine learning to inform decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with no years of required experience
• Ability to write automation scripts to improve efficiency of data extraction and analysis
• Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and represent quality functions in engineering forums
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to driving process optimization
• Demonstrated ability to manage change control processes and drive continuous improvement programs
