Job summary

ResourceMFG is hiring an experienced Optics Fabrication Technician in Colorado to join our manufacturing team. The role involves shaping, beveling, blocking, grinding, polishing, and metrology tasks on specialty optics parts, ensuring alignment with fabrication specifications.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with Zygo metrology and polishing equipment, and be capable of reading complex prints while maintaining quality and productivity across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in optics fabrication and related processes.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication specifications.
• Familiar with quality measurement and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic shaping process steps on medium difficult parts.
• Beveling – capable of fabricating polished, double, and off-angle asymmetric bevels.
• Blocking – pitch button, Norland transfer, steep singles, cold blocking, contacting, and alignment.
• Grinding – Steep radius, cylinder, tight wedge, continuous.
• Polishing – spindle, CP, double side, CNC polish.
• Slurry Maintenance - maintains and measures established Baume and PH levels.
• Pour pitch lap, cuts, and grooves lap.
• Advanced print reading skills – can read and comprehend all fabrication specs.
• Measurement skills include - Basic Zygo, understanding of fringe pattern, microscope, stereoscope, surface quality inspection, fiber light
