Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. seeks an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) at St. David's South Austin Medical Center to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care under RN guidance.

You’ll perform advanced clinical tasks, observe patients, and help create a welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued. Responsibilities include ADLs support, phlebotomy and telemetry, IV/catheter care, and assisting with lab collections and clerical duties to keep care running smoothly.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate with the nursing team.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
• Provide advanced care including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and wound care.
• Support with lab collection and clerical tasks to keep care operations running smoothly.
• Anticipate patient needs, respond quickly, and help ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.
