Job summary

Magnachek in Michigan is seeking an NDT/QA support specialist to ensure products meet customer quality requirements. The candidate will be involved in NDT methods, certifying inspectors, and following procedures across RT, PT, MT, UT, EC, and VT disciplines.

The role requires a high school diploma, ASNT NAS 410 certification, and familiarity with ISO 17025. A strong mechanical background and the ability to read engineering drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• H.S Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification to ASNT NAS 410 as applicable to internal processes.
• Familiar with quality system requirements (ISO 17025, NAS 410).
• Familiar with Weld Inspections; CWI preferred.
• Strong mechanical background through education or related experience.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• RT, PT, MT, UT, EC, VT disciplines preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of NDT methods; train and certify NDT personnel.
• Support manufacturing procedures and inspection techniques.
• Perform NDT inspections and conduct supplier audits as required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Good manufacturing or machining background with material control knowledge.
