Job summary

Tulsa Inspection Resources, LLC is seeking an experienced NDT Level II Technician with pipeline expertise in the greater Denver area. You will perform UT, MT, PAUT, HydroFORM and PMI inspections, with up to 150 miles travel, and be available for call-out work Mon-Fri.

Set up equipment, document inspections, and review ILI data. Maintain client communications and ensure safe, professional execution of all tasks per procedures and QA requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Level II Certification in UT, MT, UTSW, and Creaform required.
  • PAUT, HydroFORM and PMI experience preferred; training offered for the right candidate.
  • Minimum of 2 years Pipeline Integrity experience; 5 years recommended.
  • Ability to provide personal 4x4 vehicle.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline welding and NDT procedures including API 1104.
  • Decision making skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Be available for call-out work in the greater Denver area Mon-Fri; projects may be 150 miles from Denver.
  • Travel for annual training ~15% annually.
  • Perform NDE inspections (UT, MT, PAUT, HydroFORM and PMI) as required.
  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Document inspections on NDE reports and submit to TIR QA.

Tulsa Inspection Resources, LLC is the premier inspection provider with a passion for offering continuous training and education opportunities to our technicians.

Location: Greater Denver area, Colorado, United States.

Length: Full Time.

Pay: $45-65/hr DOE (Plus per diem, mileage reimbursement, and equipment allowance, based on eligibility).

Are you an experienced NDT Level II Technician with pipeline expertise? Do you have skills in PAUT, Creaform, AUT, HydroFORM, and PMI? If so, we want you on our team! We are seeking a technician local to the greater Denver area.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other Duties May Be Assigned)
  • Be available for call-out work in the greater Denver area Monday through Friday. Projects may be located up to 150 miles from Denver.
  • Be available for minor travel for annual training and advancement (~ 15% annually).
  • Perform NDE (UT, MT, PAUT, HydroFORM and PMI) inspections as required by customer in accordance with customer / TIRNDE written procedures.
  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Document all inspections on the appropriate NDE reports and review prior to submitting to TIR QA.
  • Compare results with available ILI data and report findings.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Maintain close working relationship with construction crews and field personnel.
  • Maintain continual communication with client representative (chief inspector, site inspector, integrity engineers).
  • Ensure all activities are performed in a safe and professional manner. Adhere to and enforce TIR safety policies.
  • Perform other job duties and related tasks assigned by management.
SKILLS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Level II Certification in UT, MT, UTSW, and Creaform required.
  • Preference for those with experience with PAUT, HydroFORM and PMI but will train and qualify the right candidate.
  • Minimum of 2 years Pipeline Integrity experience, 5 years of experience recommended.
  • Ability to provide personal 4x4 vehicle.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline welding and nondestructive testing procedures and specifications, including API 1104.
  • Decision making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task on.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Internal - Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment (45%).

External - Work is normally performed in a field environment with exposure to various weather conditions (55%).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work involves standing, walking, and bending. Work normally requires reaching in all directions, seeing, and hearing with or without correction, applying basic mathematical skills, writing, and moderate computer keyboard skills. Work may require extended hours to ensure project and reporting deadlines are met. Does not require manual work.
