Job summary

Tulsa Inspection Resources, LLC is seeking an experienced NDE Tech Level II for the Denver area. Responsibilities include performing UT, MT, PAUT, HydroFORM and PMI inspections, setting up equipment, and reporting results following client procedures.

Benefits include per diem, mileage reimbursement, and equipment allowance where eligible. Candidates should be local to the Denver area, have 2 years of Pipeline Integrity experience (5 years recommended), and hold Level II certifications in UT, MT,

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Level II Certification in UT, MT, UTSW, and Creaform required.
  • Preference for PAUT, HydroFORM and PMI experience; will train and qualify right candidate.
  • Minimum of 2 years Pipeline Integrity experience, 5 years recommended.
  • Ability to provide personal 4x4 vehicle.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline welding and nondestructive testing procedures and specifications, including API 1104.
  • Decision making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Be available for call-out work in the greater Denver area Monday through Friday. Projects may be located up to 150 miles from Denver.
  • Be available for minor travel for annual training and advancement (~ 15% annually).
  • Perform NDE (UT, MT, PAUT, HydroFORM and PMI) inspections as required by customer in accordance with customer / TIRNDE written procedures.
  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Document all inspections on the appropriate NDE reports and review prior to submitting to TIR QA.
  • Compare results with available ILI data and report findings.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Maintain close working relationship with construction crews and field personnel.
  • Maintain continual communication with client representative (chief inspector, site inspector, integrity engineers)
  • Ensure all activities are performed in a safe and professional manner. Adhere to and enforce TIR safety policies.
  • Perform other job duties and related tasks assigned by management.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Internal – Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment (45%).

External – Work is normally performed in a field environment with exposure to various weather conditions (55%).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work involves standing, walking, and bending. Work normally requires reaching in all directions, seeing, and hearing with or without correction, applying basic mathematical skills, writing, and moderate computer keyboard skills. Work may require extended hours to ensure project and reporting deadlines are met. Does not require manual work.

External - Clients, inspectors, construction crews, and project personnel
