Job summary

Intertek USA seeks an Advanced NDE Level II Technician to join our Asset Integrity Management team at a client facility in Texas City, TX. The role focuses on inspecting materials and welds using PAUT, AUT, MT and PT, with responsibilities including setup, calibration and interpretation of results.

This position requires 5–7 years in advanced UT methods, a Level II certification, and relevant ISO/API certifications; strong English, MS Office skills, and willingness to train others.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Advanced UT methods, including PAUT and AUT with MT & PT.
• Prior Level II certification.
• API QUPA and API QUTE certifications or ISO Thickness, ISQ Shear Wave and ISQ Phased Array certifications required for consideration.
• Valid Drivers' License and reliable driving record (preferred).
• Current TWIC card (preferred).
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in English.
• Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Additional experience and prior certification in other NDE methods (RT, PMI, UTT, VT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Using advanced ultrasonic equipment with phased arrays to test for flaws in materials and welds.
• Set up and calibrate equipment; interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Guide on-the-job training and provide supervision for assigned NDE Level I personnel.
• Organize and report the results of any assigned NDT.
