Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Part-Time PAUT Level II Technician to join our Houston, TX Asset Integrity Management team. The ideal candidate will have PAUT certification and prior Level II experience for testing materials and welds using phased array ultrasonic methods.

The role requires setting up and calibrating equipment, interpreting results per codes and standards, and supervising Level I personnel. A willingness to travel and excellent written and verbal English skills are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Advanced UT methods, including Phased Array.
• Prior Level II certification.
• API QUPA and API QUTE certifications or ISO Thickness, ISQ Shear Wave and ISQ Phased Array certifications required for consideration.
• Valid Drivers' License and reliable driving record (required).
• Current TWIC card is required.

Responsibilities

• Using advanced ultrasonic equipment with phased arrays to test for flaws in materials and welds.
• Set up and calibrate equipment; interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Train and guide assigned trainees and NDE Level I personnel on the job.
• Organize and report the results of any assigned NDT.
