Job summary

Divergent is seeking a Quality Inspector to contribute to inspection activities, deliver accurate metrology data, and generate compliant inspection reports. You will work with scanners like FARO, Romer, and C‑Track to acquire geometrical data and use PolyWorks and Zeiss software to process results.

The role requires reading engineering drawings (GD&T), lifting up to 50 lb, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to uphold high quality standards on aerospace/automotive production lines.

Qualifications

• Legal eligibility to access controlled information and technology in the US.
• 1–2 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, automotive, or relevant production.
• Proficient with Windows, Teams, Excel, and related software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lb and operating scanning arms.
• Strong verbal and written communication; detail‑oriented and team focused.
• Analytical problem solving and data accuracy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Use metrology scanners (FARO, Romer, C‑Track, MetraSCAN, GOM ScanBox) to acquire scan data.
• Process raw data with 3D metrology software (PolyWorks, Zeiss) to clean noise and export files.
• Create and maintain inspection files; interpret results and produce reports.
• Perform receiving, in‑process, and final inspections per drawings and procedures.
• Apply inspection methods using calibrated tools and engineering drawings.
• Record inspection results, NCRs, and quality documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist leadership with additional inspections and related tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Metrology Lab following 5S.
