Job summary

Smeal, a REV Group brand, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler Level 2 to support final assembly of fire apparatus. Based in the United States, you will complete body/cab overlays, install components, and help ensure precise fits to meet production timelines.

This role requires basic tool use, ability to read truck specifications, teamwork, and willingness to work overtime. You will maintain a clean, safe work area and contribute to quality and efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure precisely.
• Ability to read and understand truck specification documents.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Complete overlay of front and rear of body/cab.
• Install heat pans.
• Install brushed SST in hose bed and cap off.
• Prep and install swing-out and roll-up doors.
• Install SCBA modules.
• Install exhaust systems.
• Operate equipment and tools safely; maintain a clean work area.
• Assist other team members as needed.
