Job summary

Motor Coach Industries is seeking skilled Mechanics to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel, electric, and hydrogen systems across our North American fleet. The role involves mentoring junior technicians, repairing engines and associated subsystems, and upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The position is based in Blackwood, NJ, with opportunities for career growth, training, and exposure to cutting-edge fuel-cell and electrification

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields.
• HV safety certification and HV maintenance/repair training highly desired.
• CDL with Air and Passenger endorsements preferred but not required.
• Proficient in diagnostic tools and fleet management software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel, electric, and hydrogen engines using diagnostic tools.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Mechanic Helpers and IV team.
• Maintain heating/AC systems, electrical components, suspension, braking, and steering.
• Maintain electrical and pneumatic systems incl. gauges, lights, and motors.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements, chassis lubrication, tires.
• Repair or replace radiators, water pumps, hoses, wheel bearings, seals, doors, seating.
• Assist in glass installations and basic body repairs.
• Adhere to safety procedures; work in Blackwood, NJ.
