Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking an Advanced MBSE Systems Engineer for a fully onsite contract in Dedham, MA. The role focuses on MBSE, SysML modeling, and digital engineering to design and deploy complex NC3 systems within defense programs.

Requirements include 5+ years in systems engineering or 3+ with a Master's, a STEM degree, and hands-on MBSE tooling experience (Cameo, DOORS). You’ll work across cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and advance MBSE practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, MBSE, Digital Engineering, or related engineering disciplines (or 3+ years with a Master's degree).
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience using MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler.
• 3+ years experience developing and maintaining SysML models (behavioral, structural, requirements).
• 3+ years experience with requirements management using DOORS or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SysML models for complex system architectures.
• Apply MBSE methodologies to system design, functional decomposition, and interface definition.
• Support requirements development, traceability, verification, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and test engineering teams across the lifecycle.
• Conduct trade studies and architectural analyses to support decisions.
• Integrate requirements management tools and system models for digital engineering initiatives.
• Support DoDAF and digital architecture framework development activities.
• Drive adoption of MBSE best practices across teams.
• Participate in Agile development activities and cross-functional reviews.

Additional Information:

• Position is fully onsite in Dedham, MA
• Flexible 9/80 work schedule available (every other Friday off)
• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check
