Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a Physical Lab Technician in Santa Ana, CA to perform material testing and report results in line with shop processes. You will handle advanced measurements, print readings, and ensure calibration and quality standards are met under safety guidelines.

The role requires NADCAP knowledge, strong math and data interpretation skills, and ability to read complex specifications. Overtime and weekend work may be required to support production needs, with comprehensive

Qualifications

• The ability to read and write English.
• Detail-oriented.
• Advanced NADCAP knowledge
• Advanced Math (converting metrics, pounds, temperatures)
• Advanced Print Reading
• Deep knowledge of Product & Customer Specification
• The ability to use complex gauges
• The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents - computer skills
• Mechanical Testing experience (head ductility test, shear, tension, etc.)
• Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as business needs demand

Responsibilities

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Receive certifications on the following tests: Torque - unseated & seated + heat cycles, Push out/Torque Out, Single Shear, Double Shear, Vibration (when required), Impedence, Durability/Embrittlement
• Participate in Round Robin/Gage R&R study.
• Differentiate accredited sites that perform OSP tests on business samples.
• Willingness to learn trouble shooting on Test Machines.
• Ensure tools / equipment meet standard and calibration requirements.
• Create MRRs on non-conforming products.
• Process and validate outside purchase jobs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
