RTX RTRC K facility in East Hartford is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Lead Research Technician to join a multidisciplinary team developing and maturing manufacturing technologies for internal deployment and external programs. The role supports large-format, hybrid, powder directed energy deposition processes and related manufacturing research.

The successful candidate will work with scientists and engineers across RTRC and RTX units to advance next-generation technologies for aerospace and

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or equivalent with 8+ years related experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience with directed energy deposition or welding processes.
• Minimum 1 year experience with CAM programming languages (G-Code or similar).
• Background operating CNC machines or robot cells.

Responsabilités

• Operate large-format hybrid DED system.
• Set up experiments to support process development.
• Execute additive build and repair experiments.
• Prepare samples, perform machining and fixture fabrication.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs.
• Collaborate with RTRC and RTX teams on research programs.
• Maintain safety and follow protocols.
