Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support a state-of-the-art vinyl flooring production line. You will lead process improvements, troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges, and drive operational excellence on the plant floor.

This role focuses on safety, quality, reliability, and productivity, with collaboration across Operations, Maintenance, R&D, and Corporate Engineering to evaluate new technologies and implement cost-saving solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, automation, or continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives plant-wide.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality, and process-related issues using root cause analysis.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase reliability.
• Support automation, robotics, CNC programming, and equipment upgrade projects.
• Manage capital and expense projects from concept through implementation.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, R&D, and Corporate Engineering to evaluate new technologies and process enhancements.
• Analyze production and financial data to drive performance improvements and cost savings.
• Develop work instructions, training materials, and standardized processes.
• Present results and recommendations to plant and corporate leadership.
