Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead multiple projects in the Ironton OH operations, focusing on product transfers, NPDI milestones, process improvements, and capital projects to standardize manufacturing across Vertiv plants.

This onsite role requires collaboration with Design Engineering, Program Management and Operations to deliver NPDI milestones and enforce global manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

• BSME/IE/Business Operations Management with 3–5 years manufacturing experience, or 10+ years in a high mix production volume facility.
• MSME/IE/MBA and 5+ years of Advanced Manufacturing experience.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications.
• Extensive knowledge of formalized Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications and experience in New Product Development and Product Transfers.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Line of Business Leaders to ensure manufacturing plans align to Product Roadmaps.
• Responsible for End of Line Testing Equipment, Parameters, scripts and Capex.
• Lead, Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products according to NPDI program.
• Lead and provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development programs.
• Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
• Identify, justify, pilot, and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies, processes, equipment, and practices.

This position will also coordinate the development and enforcement of global manufacturing standards and technology leadership. Interact directly with Design Engineering, Program Manager and Operations Team at the target site to coordinate and execute NPDI milestones and deliverables. This is an onsite role in Franklin Furnace, OH.

This is an onsite role supporting facilities in Ironton and Franklin Furnace, OH.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Line of Business Leaders to ensure manufacturing plans are aligned to Product Roadmaps.

• Lead, Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products according to NPDI program.

• Identify, justify, pilot, and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies, processes, equipment, and practices. Capital projects that support Growth, NPDI, Product Transfers, Technical Capacity and Footprint associated.
• Provide support for manufactured cost analyses of new and existing products.
• Responsible for the execution of Manufacturing Readiness Checklist and deliverables of NPDI Process.
• Leader for Manufacturing Prototype builds along with the local operation team to achieve 2 weeks LT.
• Accountable and Supportive Role for Engineering Prototype builds with Design Engineering.
• Actively intervenes in growth strategies for assigned BU, footprint and technical capacity definition.
• Implement best manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support.
• Assist with business-critical capital projects including facility planning, layout, and cost justification.

Qualifications:

Minimum

• BSME/IE/Business Operations Management and 3-5 years manufacturing experience or
• 10 plus years of manufacturing experience in high mix production volume facility

Preferred

• MSME/IE/MBA and 5+ years of Advanced Manufacturing experience
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications.
