Job summary

Honeywell in Torrance, CA is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II to optimize production processes, drive continuous improvement, and lead cross-functional initiatives onsite. You will develop NC programs, apply lean methods, and collaborate with engineering to elevate efficiency and quality.

The role reports to the Engineering Director and requires a strong background in NX programming, Vericut, GD&T, and data analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Proven experience in NC programming, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong knowledge of NC programming in NX and using Vericut verification software.
  • Familiar with GD&T concepts and symbols.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
  • Familiar with NX or similar CAD software.

Job description

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II, here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. You will report directly to our Engineering Director, and you'll work out of our Torrance, CA location onsite.

In this role, you will impact our manufacturing processes by optimizing production workflows and driving continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved quality in our operations. Your expertise will help us stay at the forefront of advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure that we deliver innovative and high-quality products to our customers.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Proven experience in NC programming, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong knowledge of NC programming in NX and using Vericut verification software.
  • Familiar with GD&T concepts and symbols.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
  • Familiar with NX or similar CAD software.
WE VALUE
  • Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering), EE (Electrical Engineering), IE (Industrial Engineer) or Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and achieving results.
  • Ability to think strategically and implement innovative solutions.
  • Experience programming 3, 4, and 5 axes mills.
  • Experience programming lathes.
  • Experience, using NX programming software.
  • Experience, machining, aluminum, titanium and Inconel aerospace parts.
  • Experience, creating work holding fixtures and selecting cutting tools for machining aerospace components.

The annual base salary range for this position is $97,750 to $147,200. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
