Job summary

ZF Foxconn Chassis Modules (ZFFCN) in Duncan, SC, seeks an Engineer - AME to join our advanced manufacturing team. The role collaborates with maintenance and engineering personnel to analyze process issues and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal operation.

You will drive improvements, lead projects with APQP and Lean principles, and ensure safety and quality compliance across production lines in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 4–8+ years of experience and leading technical projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CAD software.
• Capable of making sound decisions in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Good time management and prioritizing skills.
• Working knowledge of statistical methods and SPC charts.

Responsibilities

• Make changes to enhance machine functionality and upgrade equipment using lean principles.
• Ensure safe work environment and compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Analyze workload, space requirements, and layout for efficiency.
• Determine product specifications for equipment purchases.
• Contact suppliers for production equipment and support final technical choice.
• Estimate production times, staffing and related costs for management decisions.
• Lead projects for existing production and new programs using APQP and Lean principles.
• Compliance with internal and external production quality systems.
• Other duties related to this position.
