Job summary

Baptist Health Breast Imaging in Lexington, KY is seeking a Mammography Technologist II to provide advanced breast imaging services, including screening and diagnostic mammography, interventional support such as biopsies, and optional ultrasound or bone densitometry.

You will apply advanced clinical judgment, follow safety and regulatory standards, and ensure high-quality images for interpretation by a licensed provider while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT Registry.
• Current Commonwealth of Kentucky Radiation License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must obtain Post-Primary Registry in Mammography (M) and Breast Sonography (BS) or be eligible to obtain within 1 year.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures using advanced imaging technology.
• Conducts breast imaging exams including mammography, breast ultrasound, and bone densitometry as appropriate.
• Assists with breast biopsy procedures and other interventional imaging services.
• Prepares and positions patients to ensure comfort, safety, and optimal image quality.
• Applies advanced image processing and related techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Exercises professional judgment while maintaining a demeanor consistent with medical ethics and patient-centered care.
• Assesses and responds to varying patient conditions to ensure safe and successful completion of exams and procedures.
• Ensures all images meet quality standards and are available for timely interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.
• Adheres to all safety protocols, including radiation protection for patients and staff.
