Job summary

Powers Management is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to perform advanced building maintenance across facility systems. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and carpentry within a live venue environment.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, using CAD for layouts, welding and fabrication, door hardware, and CMMS-driven PMs. Strong hours flexibility and on-call readiness are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• 3–5+ years in general maintenance or mechanical repair.
• Hands-on with small engines, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Proficient with CAD software and CMMS tools.
• Strong computer and digital maintenance skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and be on-call.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Background and driving history checks required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance and complex mechanical troubleshooting.
• Service and repair small engines, ice resurfacers, and equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, overhaul hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read architectural drawings and schematics accurately.
• Utilize CAD for basic layout verification and markups.
• Perform welding and fabrication for facility repairs.
• Repair doors, hardware, and access control systems.
• Carpentry and ceiling grid realignments as needed.
• Maintain stadium seating and staging hardware.
• Utilize CMMS to manage work orders and PM schedules.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC diagnostics.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and preventive maintenance programs.
• Respond to emergency calls during events; on-call.
• Mentor Tier 1 mechanics and support special projects.
