Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks an experienced machinist to set up and operate manual lathe, mill, drills, and other equipment to produce complex parts and prototypes.

You will interpret drawings, select tools and processes, and ensure tolerances and quality through precise measurements and testing. A high school diploma or GED with 8+ years of machine shop experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge gained through vocational training.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years’ of machine shop experience that include machine programming.
• Ability to use shop mathematics, drawings and measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all types of machinery including manual lathe, manual mill, drills, or plastic parts.
• Make adjustments to adhere to specifications, and determine tolerances and operation sequences.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to select machines, tools, and processes; plan and execute pieces and sequences.
• Compute dimensions and use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Perform quality machining of various materials as needed.
