Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Huntsville, Alabama. Under minimum supervision, you will program, set up, and operate CNC machinery to manufacture precision metal and plastic parts according to drawings and specifications.

The role requires strong math skills and meticulous attention to tolerances and process quality. Experience with shop mathematics, drawings, measuring tools, and familiarity with ISO/Lean practices will help you succeed on three 12-hour

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; vocational training may be included.
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of machine shop experience that includes machine programming.
Ability to use shop mathematics, drawings and measuring tools.

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery independently.
Perform prototype work from detailed specifications.
Interpret drawings, route sheets and other specifications to ascertain work orders.
Determine work procedures, tolerances, and sequences of operations.
Compute accurate mathematical dimensions for manufacturing parts of complex nature.
Use precision measuring instruments and perform quality machining.
