Job summary

County Ambulance in New York is seeking an Advanced Life Support Technician to respond with a volunteer crew, provide first-aid and med treatment at scenes and en route to hospital or air transport landing zones.

The role requires holding NYS Emergency Medical Technician certifications (AEMT-CC or AEMT-P), CPR and ACLS, and the ability to complete pre-hospital care reports while maintaining calm under crisis. This is a competitive, on-site position with ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent is required.
• Certification as AEMT-CC or AEMT-P is required.
• Experience with pre-hospital care reporting and EMS protocols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond with a volunteer crew to emergencies and provide first-aid and EMS treatment.
• Assess patients, obtain medical history, and communicate with receiving facilities.
• Record vital signs and complete pre-hospital care reports in accordance with regulations.
• Administer medications and assist with transporting patients to hospitals or air transport if needed.
• Maintain ambulance readiness and assist with scene safety and patient care as required.
