Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an entry-level Culinary team member to join our full-time kitchen. You will contribute to daily kitchen operations and uphold high standards of guest satisfaction in a dynamic setting.

As a valued member of the culinary team, you will gain hands-on experience, learn cost-control methods, and work with talented chefs to deliver exceptional meals to our guests.

Qualifications

• Desire to satisfy guests' needs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Clear communication with team and guests.
• Two years of line cook or fine dining experience.
• Able to work across most kitchen stations.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent quality.
• Monitor food production, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Provide direction in the absence of the Sous Chef.
• Support training and mentorship of junior staff.

Summary

Schedule Requirements: Must be available to work a flexible schedule during the week, including weekends and holidays.

Role

In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations. Capable of producing a consistent product to meet and exceed guests' needs in a timely manner. On a daily basis must monitor food production, quality and consistency, staffing levels and department training. Skills and knowledge to include culinary education, cost control, communication skills, computer skills, organizational skills, guest contact experience and culinary teaching skills and knowledge. This person must be able to give direction in the hourly Sous' absence.
