Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an Interventional Radiologic Technologist to operate fluoroscopy, CT and ultrasound systems during procedures. You will prepare rooms, equipment, and patients, verify orders, and maintain equipment and inventory.

Responsibilities include performing QA, using radiology information systems, explaining procedures to patients, and supporting department operations; experience in IR and ARRT/LSRTBE credentials are valued.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration required; LSRTBE licensure preferred.
• BLS certification current; advanced IR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound equipment for interventional procedures.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and patient; maintain daily inventory.
• Verify physician orders and procedure details for accuracy.
• Use radiology information systems to support patient care.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure informed understanding.
• Perform quality control to meet regulatory standards.
• Support departmental operations including schedules and equipment maintenance.
• Adapt communication and care to diverse patient populations.
• Perform additional related duties as required.
