Job summary

Responsibilities include patient preparation, scrubbing into procedures, and ensuring radiation safety; on-call rotations are required. Requires ARRT certification, 5 years IR experience, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.
• 5 years of experience in Interventional Radiology.
• ARRT certification and state radiologic licensure.
• BLS certification with advance vascular interventional radiology certification.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Utilizes radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates imaging equipment according to protocol.
• Reviews patient images prior to transmission for diagnostic quality.
• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Leads departmental programs, protocols, and safety initiatives.
• Assists in orientation and training of junior staff and provides feedback during evaluations.
• Adapts interactions to patient population while maintaining privacy and consent.
• Performs other related duties as required.
