Job summary

UPMC East is seeking a casual Interventional Technologist to join our Operating Room Hybrid Endovascular Suite. This role supports daytime shifts (6:30 am to 5 pm), Monday through Friday, performing advanced imaging procedures with independent judgment to provide high-quality patient care.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT certification (or equivalent cardiovascular specialty), 2+ years IR experience, and active clearances (Act 31/33/34 and FBI). UPMC East is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Interventional Radiology experience.
• ARRT certificate or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Act 31, Act 33, Act 34 with renewal.
• Act 73 FBI clearance with renewal.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the training of staff and student technologists.
• Work directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development.
• Performs all job responsibilities of an IR Tech 1.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of supplies used during procedures.
• Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in QA, regulatory testing, and other technical initiatives.
• Assist with Fluoro time monitoring and lead apron compliance checks.
• Participates in system-wide standardization activities.
• Function independently, cover shifts and on-call, and work at satellite facilities as needed.
