Job summary

The Great Yellow Brick Company is seeking an Engineering Technician focused on advanced injection molding diagnostics in Richmond, VA. The role requires diagnosing complex manufacturing issues across machines, molds and materials, and driving root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.

You will apply scientific molding principles, run structured trials, and optimize processing windows to improve cycle time, scrap, and OEE while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in injection molding in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
• Experience with scientific molding, process development, and complex diagnostics.
• Ability to plan and execute structured root cause investigations and technical trials.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical escalation for complex injection molding problems beyond routine troubleshooting.
• Independently diagnose issues across process, machine, mold, material, controls, and automation.
• Lead root cause investigations and coordinate cross-functional teams for corrective actions.
• Apply advanced molding studies and DOE to optimize processing windows and capability.
• Provide technical direction and coaching to operators, technicians, and maintenance teams.
