Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma; 2-year technical degree preferred.
• 5–7 years’ experience in plastic processing of molding machines with experience in injection molding.
• 2+ years of Injection Molding experience.
• Experience with scientific molding (IQ/OQ/PQ); medical/biopharma industry experience preferred.
• Strong written/verbal communication, computer literacy, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter, detail-oriented, able to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Willing to travel up to 5% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Develop Injection Molding /Scientific Molding processes to specs (size, appearance, flash, splay, cycle time).
• Ensure presses start and run to standard process; troubleshoot issues not up to standards.
• Develop and maintain standard operator instructions, set-up sheets and process set-up sheets.
• Be able to process a variety of engineering-type materials.
• Participate in action plans to resolve safety, quality, production and delivery issues.
• Document improvements and problems with molds, presses, secondary, etc.
• Capable of mold changes (material setup, mold change, set process, inspect parts).
• Identify quality defects in the molding process.
• Basic maintenance of tooling.
• Proactively support company safety and continual improvement policies.
