Wabash Maintenance Tech 2 is a skilled maintenance professional supporting production equipment and plant systems at Wabash. The role requires diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to keep operations safe, reliable, and efficient.

You will read schematics, operate diagnostic tools, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with Maintenance Tech 1 and Operations leadership to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Industrial maintenance experience or equivalent demonstrated technical capability required.
• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission components.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ability to use electrical meters, measurement instruments, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to organize work, prioritize multiple equipment issues, and complete assignments with limited supervision.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to document maintenance activities electronically.
• Basic reading, writing, verbal communication, and math skills.

Responsabilités

• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial production equipment and related systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to identify conditions requiring corrective action.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and on time using SAP PM.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Communicate equipment status and repair needs to Maintenance and Operations leadership.
• Assist Maintenance Tech 1 with troubleshooting, repair techniques, and safe practices.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized condition.
