Our 254-bed full-service facility offers emergency care, a primary stroke center, orthopedics, and the only licensed obstetric and pediatric units in Charlotte County.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Advanced Imaging Technologist performing CT/X-ray participates in technical duties directly involved with the CT scanner and diagnostic imaging, including developing, initiating, and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit. The technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships, implementing the principles of AdventHealth. All duties are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures. (Non-exempt).

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Sets up and adjusts equipment per protocol, radiologist, and/or procedure performance
• Accepts patients, assesses their condition, and explains and prepares them for the requested exam
• Assists in the administration of various chemical substances to render specific organs or systems more opaque
• Reviews patient charts and requests with the radiologist to ensure proper examination and diagnostic results
• Ensures quality control of all images, maintains inventory, and adheres to safety regulations
• Participates in training of department personnel, including students

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Formal training in radiology technology from an AMA-approved program
• 1 year of radiologic experience
• CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered (R)(CT)
• BCLS - Basic Life Support
• 2 hours Stroke Education within 6 months of hire, then 1 hour annually
• 1 hour of Hip & Knee Surgery Education within 6 months of hire, then annually
