Responsibilities

1. Accept patients and assess their condition to determine proper handling and special requirements. Explain and prepare the patient for the requested exam.
2. Assist in administering various chemical substances to render specific organs or systems more opaque.
3. Review patient charts and requests with the radiologist to ensure proper examination and diagnostic results.
4. Quality control all images, maintain inventory, and adhere to safety regulations.
5. Participate in training of department personnel, including students.

Qualifications

• Formal training in radiology technology from an AMA-approved program
• At least 1 year of radiologic experience
• CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT - Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R)(CT)
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification
• Completion of 2 hours Stroke Education within 6 months of hire, then 1 hour annually
• Completion of 1 hour Hip & Knee Surgery Education within 6 months of hire, then annually
