Zusammenfassung

SimonMed is seeking a Technologist Assistant to support imaging operations, patient care, and workflow in a fast-paced radiology department. You will assist technologists with patient prep, positioning, and procedural support while maintaining safety and HIPAA compliance.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and teamwork with radiologists, nurses, and scheduling staff.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare or diagnostic imaging.
• Experience supporting operations in a fast-paced clinical or outpatient environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and EMR experience.
• IV experience preferred
• Associate degree or coursework in healthcare, radiologic sciences, or related field preferred
• Prior experience in radiology or advanced imaging environments preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required or preferred

Aufgaben

• Assist imaging technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and procedural support.
• Support patient throughput and workflow coordination to optimize department efficiency.
• Escort and assist patients with mobility needs while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Prepare imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies for daily operations and procedures.
• Perform quality checks on imaging support equipment and report operational concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and infection prevention standards in exam rooms and areas.
• Assist with patient screening, intake verification, documentation, and EMR updates.
• Coordinate communication between radiologists, technologists, nursing staff, scheduling teams, and front office personnel.
• Train and mentor Technologist Assistants and new department staff on procedures, safety, and workflow.
• Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, and equipment readiness.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance and departmental improvement initiatives.
• Respond professionally to patient concerns and elevate issues appropriately.
• Support the technologist with IV placement and patient preparation procedures.
