Job summary
Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our multidisciplinary team, providing care for patients with advanced heart failure, including those requiring VAD support and heart transplantation.
The ideal candidate has at least 3 years post-fellowship experience, is board-certified in Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology, and demonstrates strong collaboration, education, and research interests within our
Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology.
- Proven expertise in managing advanced heart failure and therapies.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert care for advanced heart failure patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Evaluate and manage therapies including VADs and heart transplantation.
- Collaborate with transplant surgeons, nurses, and pharmacists to develop individualized plans.
- Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives to improve outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on treatment options and lifestyle modifications.
