Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) Coordinator in a hybrid role with advanced clinical focus and administrative responsibilities for the MCS Department. You will coordinate specialized care for advanced heart failure patients and manage postoperative and outpatient MCS care, collaborating across the organization.

The position requires a BSN, SC RN licensure, and BLS certification, with ANA generalist certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school and RN licensure (SC or compact) required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• ANA generalist certification in a related specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive, specialized care for advanced heart failure patients eligible for MCS.
• Manage postoperative care for patients implanted with MCS and outpatient management for those with ongoing MCS.
• Support daily operations and ensure compliance with policies and guidelines.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and provide leadership presence to staff.
• Assist with research by maintaining accurate data and participating in related activities.
• Provide 24/7/365 coverage as needed and report to the MCS Program Manager.
