Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Calibration Engineer to lead calibration activities for Inertial Sensor Assemblies in Florida. You will develop, maintain, and improve test stations and calibration software, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components.

The role requires MATLAB proficiency, scripting for automation, and strong communication skills to document procedures and train technicians. US citizenship is required due to contractual obligations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • Experience in hardware/test engineering.
  • Understanding of software/hardware integration in testing environments.
  • Familiarity with calibration procedures for Inertial Sensor Assemblies.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB for data analysis and software development.
  • Experience with Python, C++, and Arduino.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage calibration activities for the Inertial Sensor Assembly.

Job description

  • Lead and manage calibration activities for the Inertial Sensor Assembly to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Develop, maintain, and improve test stations and calibration software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support hardware and software integration throughout the calibration process
  • Write and execute software scripts to automate calibration and testing processes
  • Document calibration procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Provide technical support and training to team members as needed
  • Train test technicians and maintain/create Test Instructions
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • Industry experience in a hardware engineering and/or test engineering role
  • Understanding of software and hardware integration in testing environments
  • Knowledge of test stations and calibration software applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
  • Experience in calibration procedures for Inertial Sensor Assemblies or similar systems
  • Proficiency in MATLAB for data analysis and software development
  • Experience with Thermal Rate Tables and Test Stations
  • Familiarity with Python, C++, and Arduino
  • Prior experience in aerospace or electrical engineering industries
