Job summary

Texas Disposal Systems is seeking a Technician II to support maintenance of fleet assets. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and assist with repairs to keep vehicles operational. The role involves using gauges, basic computer diagnostics, and coordinating parts orders with supervision.

The position requires tool ownership, English communication skills, and familiarity with shop safety practices. CDL may be preferred for driving company vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable preventive maintenance experience or technical degree with related maintenance on Class 8 vehicles.
• Must possess own tools and be comfortable using shop equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance within set schedules and repair times.
• Identify faults during vehicle inspections and perform timely repairs.
• Order parts as needed and notify supervisor.
• Conduct basic diagnostic work using gauges and computer software for engine/transmission.
• Maintain repair orders, inventory, and a clean workspace.
