Job summary

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Ability to lay out and fit large assemblies with minimal supervision.
• First class welding in all positions; familiar with flux cord and stick.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in extreme weather and loud environments.

Responsibilities

• Works safely in an industrial environment and guides others in proper equipment use.
• Reads and works from drawings with minimal supervision; makes simple modification drawings.
• Completes steel work and performs first class welding in all positions.
• Prepares layouts using fixtures and guides to repair or fabricate parts.
• Travels to customer sites for modifications and maintenance as needed.
• Maintains equipment through preventive maintenance and keeps work area clean and organized.
• Trains and evaluates others; demonstrates leadership and safety focus.
