Job summary

Ring Power Corporation seeks an experienced technician to repair or replace defective parts on heavy equipment, disassemble and clean components, and ensure reuse to control repair costs. You will test, diagnose and adjust equipment, and prepare quotes and service paperwork with accuracy for accounting needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring job expenses, acting as lead when needed, using dealer systems for work orders, and maintaining tools and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 7+ years of experience in the field.
• Valid Class E Driver’s License is required.
• Technical course or equivalent experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dealer computer systems and documentation procedures.
• Willingness to update knowledge every 3–5 years.

Responsibilities

• Repairs or replaces defective parts on machinery/equipment.
• Disassembles components and cleans parts.
• Inspects components to maximize reuse and control repair costs.
• Tests, diagnoses and adjusts equipment failures.
• Creates repair estimates and substantiates quotes.
• Prepares parts requisitions, time cards, or service reports with detail.
• Monitors expenses and notifies lead of overruns.
• May assume lead person duties when needed.
• Utilizes dealer computer systems for work orders and documentation.
• Maintains a minimum set of tools and safe work practices.
• Maintains company literature and stays updated on technical changes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
