Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of field service experience on CAT or Non-CAT heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency with Caterpillar service programs.
  • Class A CDL License strongly preferred.
  • MSHA certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Description

We’re looking for an Advanced Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide expert onsite support, maintenance, and repair for CAT and Non-CAT Advanced Earthmoving Heavy Equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and optimizing machine performance to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability. As a technician, you’ll work directly with customers in the field, ensuring their equipment meets high operational standards and is running at peak performance.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on site to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with advanced machinery or systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated equipment, ensuring all work is completed to industry standards and company specifications.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Utilize deep technical knowledge and experience to handle high-level technical challenges and provide solutions for system optimization and performance improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of service activities, including troubleshooting steps, repairs made, and parts used. Generate reports and provide feedback to management and engineering teams.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and clients on equipment operation, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class A CDL License strongly preferred
  • MSHA certified
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service working on CAT or Non-CAT Heavy Equipment or a related technical role, with a strong background in troubleshooting and repairing advanced systems and equipment
  • Proficiency with Caterpillar service programs
  • Possess needed tools includes ¾” drive
  • Consistently arrive at work as scheduled, ensuring prompt attendance to maintain service efficiency and reliability
  • Demonstrate respect for the rights and equipment of other workers, customers, and the company, always maintaining a professional and considerate attitude.
  • Approach each task with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring all work meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Arrive at work in a fit state, both physically and mentally, ready to perform duties safely and effectively.
  • Maintain clear and ongoing communication with customers to keep them informed of progress, address any concerns, and ensure satisfaction with the service provided.
  • Submit accurate timecards and Department of Transportation (DOT) logs as required, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with advanced machinery or systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
  • Flexibility in Work Hours and Days: Adapt to varying work hours and days based on client needs and service requirements, which may include evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts.
  • Ability and willingness to work closely with customers and a team
  • Self-motivated and able to always work safely with limited supervision
Working Conditions
  • Travel Requirements: Required to travel to client sites, potentially including overnight stays or extended hours.
  • Work Environment: Work may be performed in various environments, including industrial settings and confined spaces.
  • PPE Requirements: Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
