Job summary

UES is seeking an Inspector II to perform advanced field inspections and testing on diverse construction projects. You will apply codes and project specs, and produce detailed reports.

Requires 3+ years in inspection, certifications, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently outdoors. Travel up to 40% may be required. You will mentor junior inspectors and coordinate with engineers and clients to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or welding certificate preferred.
• 3+ years of field inspections or materials testing experience.
• Industry certifications (ACI ICC) preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, standards, and specs.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent field inspections and materials testing for construction projects.
• Interpret and apply building codes and project specifications to ensure compliance.
• Compile detailed inspection reports, diagrams, and findings with minimal oversight.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior inspectors.
• Communicate effectively with project teams, including engineers, dispatchers, and clients.
• Maintain certifications and stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and best practices.
• Operate company vehicles and document maintenance needs.
