Job summary

MasterBrand Cabinets LLC in Lexington, NC seeks an Engineering Technician 7 (Advanced) to drive process improvements and lead engineering activities. The role collaborates with safety, maintenance, production supervision and corporate engineering to improve productivity and line performance.

You will support layout changes, machine reliability studies, and capital project execution, while mentoring staff and contributing to Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Requires 10+ years as a mechanical technician or a BS with 5+ years in industry.
Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems plus electrical, VFD and PLCs.
Proficiency with measurement devices and precision tooling.
Experience with automation and AI applications.
Experience with manufacturing process improvements and Kaizen.

Responsibilities

Train personnel to complete specialized setups.
Maintain tool logs and machine data.
Lead cost improvement projects.
Obtain quotes for engineering projects.
Support maintenance with troubleshooting of equipment.
Develop and update preventive maintenance procedures.
Lead Lean/Kaizen events for continuous improvement.
Assist in design, programming and function issues for equipment.
