Job summary

Intuitive in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Advanced Energy, to lead the mechanical and electrical design of advanced energy catheters and instruments. You will work in a small cross-functional team on novel system concepts for surgical robotics, developing prototypes and guiding design validation from concept to verification.

You will apply strong design fundamentals, document procedures, and collaborate with clinical engineering to assess concepts and support tradeoff

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical design for medical devices.
• Ability to contribute to concept development and testing.
• Hands-on assembly and testing of devices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and verify concepts for advanced energy catheters and instruments.
• Develop, implement, test and document new solutions per standards.
• Perform hands-on assembly and testing for proof of concept and development.
• Support investigation and root cause analysis of defects.
