Job summary

Pafford Emergency Medical Services in Louisiana seeks an Advanced Life Support provider to deliver fast, proficient ALS on the scene, including airway management, IV therapy, drug administration, and defibrillation.

You will supervise first responders, document care, and transport patients to medical facilities, while maintaining equipment and following policies. Licensure and certifications (CPR, ACLS, PALS) are required or pursued during orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Unrestricted AEMT Louisiana licensure / National Registry.
• CPR for Health Care Providers required.
• ACLS required; PALS preferred or must obtain.
• Unrestricted state driver's license; Louisiana residents may need Class D.
• Certifications: ICS 005, 100, 200, 700, 800; 300/400 preferred.
• CEVO or EVOC completion by date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct fast, efficient Advanced Life Support on scene.
• Supervise first responders including EMR, police, and EMT.
• File standardized reports for billing and hospital use.
• Transport ill and injured patients to medical facilities.
• Operate emergency vehicles safely under all conditions.
• Maintain equipment and train personnel as directed.
• Communicate with hospital physicians to obtain orders.
