Job summary

AMR Buffalo is seeking an EMT-Advance to transport and care for medically ill and traumatically injured patients in emergency and non-emergency situations, following DOT/NSTC guidelines and AHA updates; the role also requires competent driving.

Starting pay is $23.94 per hour with advancement to $30.33; AMR covers books, uniforms and tuition while employees attend class, with pay continued during training. Join a team focused on growth, safety, and community service.

Qualifications

• Must be currently State registered as EMT-Advance.
• Must possess a current driver’s license in the State where employed.
• Current adult and child CPR certification from AHA.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Conducts a careful examination of the patient for signs and symptoms of illness/injury and assists other medical personnel as necessary.
• Provides prompt and efficient care of the patient and stabilization of condition prior to transport.
• Provides careful handling of the patient in moving him to the ambulance vehicle.
• Provides safe and efficient transport of the patient while constantly monitoring the patient and providing any appropriate continuing care within the limits of license and certification.
• Obtains information regarding the emergency from dispatch and communicates with hospitals as needed.
