Job summary

Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician – Advanced (EMT-A) for Bartow County and Cartersville, GA. The EMT-A will respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, administer pre-hospital care, drive the ambulance, and maintain equipment per company protocols.

The position is full-time within the EMS Operations department. Candidates must hold EMT licensure and BLS, possess a Georgia driver’s license for at least 2 years, and have a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current EMT licensure and BLS certification.
• Georgia Driver’s license for at least 2 years; must be 19+ years old.
• No more than 2 traffic violations in the last 36 months.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for ambulance service.
• Administer pre-hospital and inter-facility care per company protocols.
• Drive emergency vehicle and communicate by two-way radio.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment, and complete required documentation.
• Ensure safety and readiness of the unit and crew.
